The Pinnacle of Modern Collecting: Keiichiro Ito’s Masterpiece

Turn your collection into an exhibition with this magnificent ungraded copy of the Umbreon VMAX Alt Art card. Affectionately crowned “Moonbreon” by the global Pokémon community, this card stands as an iconic cultural landmark of the Sword & Shield era. The artwork presents a breathtaking, dreamlike coastal town at midnight, where a towering, giant-sized Umbreon stands on a dark stone tower, stretching its paw to touch the giant golden moon. The physical print features an incredibly complex, swirling texture pattern that wraps around the moon and sparkles across the starry night sky.

On the battlefield, the Umbreon VMAX Alt Art card is as lethal as it is gorgeous. As a Single Strike Pokémon, it integrates seamlessly into heavy-hitting dark strategies. Its “Dark Signal” Ability offers immense tactical control: when you play this card from your hand to evolve your active Umbreon V, you can immediately force your opponent to switch one of their benched Pokémon into the Active Spot, letting you drag out and trap key targets for a swift knockout.

Because this listing is for an ungraded, raw copy of the Umbreon VMAX Alt Art, physical protection is our absolute highest priority. A card of this caliber deserves nothing less than museum-grade preservation. Upon arrival, we suggest double-sleeving the card in specialized soft inner sleeves, securing it in a heavy-duty semi-rigid holder, and keeping it stored inside a temperature-controlled, dark vault environment to protect the highly sensitive edges from environmental wear.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What does “Ungraded” mean for this Umbreon VMAX Alt Art?

An “ungraded” or “raw” Umbreon VMAX Alt Art means the card has not been sent to a third-party grading service (like PSA, Beckett, or CGC) for encapsulation. Our raw copies are hand-selected and meticulously inspected to ensure they are in Near Mint to Mint condition, making them ideal candidates for you to submit to your preferred grading company.

Why is the “Moonbreon” the most expensive modern card?

The Umbreon VMAX Alt Art has the perfect storm of value factors: it features the most popular Eeveelution (Umbreon), showcases legendary artwork, belongs to Evolving Skies (a set notorious for difficult pull rates), and is highly playable in competitive formats.

How do you package this card to ensure it arrives safely?

We ship the raw Umbreon VMAX Alt Art using a “bulletproof” method. The card is placed in a perfect-fit sleeve, slid into a brand new rigid top loader, sealed inside a water-resistant team bag, sandwiched between heavy cardboard slabs, and shipped inside a box filled with packing peanuts.
